redSPOT Monthly Recurring Subscription

    1. What is the new redSPOT monthly recurring Value-Added Service (VAS)?
      The new redSPOT is an auto-recurring VAS that offers 10GB high-speed hotspot data@3Mbps at only RM10 per subscription.
    2. Is redSPOT a permanent VAS offered by redONE ?

Yes it is available for subscription starting from 19 August 2021

    1. Where can I subscribe to redSPOT monthly recurring VAS?

For new customers, you can subscribe to the redSPOT monthly recurring VAS when you sign up for a new redONE line or port-in a number to redONE at any redONE Branch and redONE Partners near you.
For existing customers, you can subscribe to the redSPOT monthly recurring VAS via four (4) ways:
a. Send <ON redSPOT> to 23388 or
b. Dialing *123# or
c. 1App or
d. Contact Customer Care

    1. I sent <ON redSPOT > to 23388. How do I know that my subscription has been activated?

You will receive an SMS notification to inform you that your subscription is successful within 10 minutes.

    1. Who can subscribe to the redSPOT monthly recurring VAS?

redSPOT monthly recurring VAS is available to all redONE Hybrid plan customers excluding M2M, FMS, MyFon, SME & Deskphone customers.

    1. Are there any charges for the SMS I sent to 23388?

Yes. The standard RM0.15 per SMS will be charged to your bill.

    1. What do I get by adding on the redSPOT Hotspot VAS?

You can use your redSPOT VAS for hotspot or tethering at only RM10.

      • Hotspot or tethering usage will be drawn from the redSPOT VAS.
      • The speed of your hotspot (tethering) device will be at a maximum of 3Mbps.
      • redSPOT VAS quota will expire at the end of the month and refreshed at the beginning of the following month.
    1. How many devices can I use redSPOT hotspot with concurrently?

There is no limit to the number of devices you can use hotspot with.

    1. I have purchased the 1-time Add-on on 21 September 2021. I would like to subscribe to the redSPOT monthly recurring VAS?

A subscription to the redSPOT recurring VAS while the 1-time Add-on redSPOT is active, will result to the active 1-time Add-on redSPOT balance data quota being FORFEITED. You are advised to only subscribe once your previous redSPOT 1-time Add-on quota is used up or expired.

    1. How do I unsubscribe to redSPOT monthly recurring VAS?

You can contact our Customer Care to unsubscribe your redSPOT monthly recurring VAS.

    1. I have terminated my subscription to redSPOT monthly recurring VAS. Can I subscribe to redSPOT monthly recurring VAS again?

Yes, you can resubscribe via USSD *123# or by sending <ON redSPOT > to 23388 , via 1App or by contacting Customer Care. RM10 per month will be charged to your bill for every successful subscription to redSPOT monthly recurring VAS.

    1. Will I be tied to a contract if I subscribe to redSPOT monthly recurring VAS?

No, there is no contract for redSPOT monthly recurring VAS. You can choose to terminate the redSPOT monthly recurring VAS at anytime you want. However, the subscription fee will not be pro-rated and a full month subscription fee will be charged to your bill.

    1. I am a RP8 customer. Can I subscribe to redSPOT monthly recurring VAS?

No, you cannot. redSPOT is exclusively for Hybrid50U, Wira50U, Digital50U, Hybrid50R and TFC50U customers only.

    1. I was on the Hybrid50U plan when I subscribed to the new redSPOT monthly recurring VAS on 21 October 2021. However, I have requested to change my current plan to Amazing58 plan on 28 October 2021. Will my redSPOT monthly recurring VAS subscription continue?

No, redSPOT is exclusively for Hybrid plan customers only.

    1. How do the customers check on their redSPOT monthly recurring data usage?

Customers can check the usage via 1App or by dialling *123#

    1. I have fully utilised the redSPOT monthly recurring 10GB quota. Can I subscribe to redSPOT monthly recurring VAS again?

No, only ONE (1) active subscription is allowed in a month. However, you can purchase the redSPOT 1-time Add-on. For each successful purchase, RM10 will be charged to your bill.

You can utilise the redSPOT monthly recurring VAS unlimited data quota at any time.

    1. What is the new redSPOT 1-time Add-on Value-Added Service (VAS)?

The new redSPOT is a 1-time Add-on VAS that offers 10GB high-speed hotspot data@3Mbps at only RM10 per purchase.

    1. Is redSPOT a permanent VAS offered by redONE?

Yes, the 1-time Add-on VAS is available for purchase starting 19 August 2021.

    1. How can I purchase the redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS?

You can purchase to the redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS via two (2) ways:

    1. Who can purchase the redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS?

You can utilise the redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS 10GB data quota at any time and the 10GB data quota will expire at the end of the month.

    1. I have utilised the 10GB quota. Can I purchase the redSPOT 1-time Add-on again?

Yes, you can purchase up to a maximum of 5 times in a month. For each successful purchase, RM10 will be charged to your bill.

    1. What is the speed of the unlimited data for redSPOT streaming?

The speed of the unlimited data quota for redSPOT streaming is high speed at 3Mbps.

    1. I am a RP8 customer. Can I purchase the redSPOT?

No, redSPOT is exclusively for Hybrid plan customers only.

redSPOT Monthly Recurring Subscription
  1. The new redSPOT monthly recurring VAS offers 10GB high-speed hotspot data@3Mbps.
  2. The 10GB data can be used for all data services.
  3. redSPOT monthly recurring VAS is a subscription-based VAS and will be auto renewed on the 1st of every month unless redSPOT has been terminated.
  4. The monthly fee for redSPOT is not pro-rated. Customers will be charged a full RM10 in the bill upon successful subscription.
  5. Customers with an active redSPOT monthly recurring VAS can purchase the 1-time Add On redSPOT VAS. The quota will be combined.
  6. If the customer adds the redSPOT monthly recurring VAS subscription at any time within the month, any previous usage will be charged a normal rate and is not calculated under the 10GB redSPOT data bucket. Only the usage after the successful subscription will be calculated under the 10GB redSPOT monthly recurring VAS data bucket.
  7. Customers can subscribe to the recurring redSPOT VAS at any time. Once the customer has fully utilised the 10GB quota, they can purchase the 1-time Add On redSPOT VAS.
  8. The redSPOT 10GB data quota will expire at the end of the calendar month. Any unutilised redSPOT data will not be carried forward to the following month.
  9. Upon 100% utilization of the redSPOT quota, any further Internet usage will be deducted from the bundled high-speed data, available Data Top Up quota. Customers who subscribed to the monthly recurring redSPOT is allowed to purchase the purchase 1-time Add-on redSPOT VAS.
  10. redSPOT can only be utilized domestically i.e. within Malaysia network only. Streaming data when overseas are subjected to data roaming charges. The customer shall be charged based on the data rates imposed by the respective redONE roaming operators for data usage while roaming with redONE’s overseas roaming partners.
  11. You can only subscribe to one (1) redSPOT monthly recurring VAS.
  12. Customers can request for termination at any time. The 10GB redSPOT high-speed data quota will be forfeited upon successful termination. The customer is advised to terminate redSPOT before the start of the next bill cycle.
  13. In the event the customer terminates redSPOT, the customer will be charged a full one (1) month subscription fee for the particular month even though the customer terminates redSPOT at any time of the month. Customers are advised to terminate redSPOT before the start of the next bill cycle.
  14. redSPOT is non-transferable, whether by operation of law or otherwise, either to any other person, entity or any other redONE Postpaid account.
  15. The Promotion cannot be combined with any other offers unless expressly stated.
  16. The Promotion is provided according to the Terms of Service on our Postpaid Sign-Up Form. You must comply with the terms including the relevant service description, our Fair Usage Policy, Privacy Policy, the relevant Postpaid subscription plan and these additional terms and conditions (collectively, the “Terms”) all of which are available on www.redonemobile.com.my

redSPOT 1-time Subscription

  1. The new redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS offers 10GB high-speed hotspot data@3Mbps of the month or until the data is fully utilised.
  2. redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS is a purchase based VAS and it will expire at the end of the calendar month.
  3. The purchase fee for redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS is not pro-rated. Customers will be charged a full RM10 in the bill upon successful purchase.
  4. The customer can purchase the redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS at any time within the month, any previous usage will be charged the normal rate and is not calculated under the 10GB redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS data bucket. Only the usage after the successful purchase will be calculated under the 10GB redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS data bucket.
  5. The 10GB 4G LTE data can be used for all data services.
  6. When using hotspot, the 10GB redSPOT data quota will be utilised first.
  7. redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS can only be utilized domestically i.e. within Malaysia network only. Hotspot data usage when overseas are subjected to data roaming charges. The customer shall be charged based on the data rates imposed by the respective redONE roaming operators for data usage while roaming with redONE’s overseas roaming partners.
  8. Customers can purchase redSPOT any time. Once the customers have fully utilised the 10GB quota, they can repurchase the redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS.
  9. You can purchase more than one (1) redSPOT at one time. The quota will be combined.
  10. You can only purchase up to a maximum FIVE (5) time redSPOT 1-time Add-on VAS in a month.
  11. redSPOT will expire at the end of the calendar month. Any unutilised quota at the end of the calendar month will not be carried forward to the following month
  12. Customers with an active redSPOT monthly recurring VAS can purchase the 1-time Add On redSPOT VAS. The quota will be combined.
  13. Upon 100% utilization of the redSPOT quota, any further Internet usage will be deducted from the bundled high-speed data or available Data Top Up quota.
